~ Cleverly Covered ~

See this cute chair?

She once looked like this!!!!!! A little grimy and dated....
(but for $8.50 at GW, who with a little imagination could pass her up!)

Just needed a little love to help her look her best!

Ha! Had you fooled.... it's actually a slipcover - not a reupholster job!!
(from a roll of upholstery found at GW {where else, right!?!} for $4.50... and some cording from Hancock's for $2.00)

Makes that $15 for the whole project!!!!

Great reading spot!

Ah...... a quiet, getaway corner - just for me!

That's great! And I can't believe it was only $8 at GW...our GW is so overpriced..that chair would have been at least $30-$40. Good for you for snagging that baby up!

You did a fabulous job - I sew a lot and know how difficult it is to make a slipcover fit as well as yours! It looks lovely

Well done! I love being able to slip cover a piece of furniture. There is so much freedom to buy a piece with great lines and make it work. The skirt is so cute and takes a chair that looks like it should be in a waiting room and makes it homey & gorgeous. And I love finding large quantities of cute decorator fabric at thrift store and yard sales. Again, well done!

You knew you had to adopt that chair, give it some TLC, and it would make you forever happy. I'm impressed with your skills.
Thanks for sharing!
